The Hud
Elder Bailey,
So, I was in church, and my phone was vibrating unceasingly in my pocket. I looked and saw that it was Brad Hudson, but obviously didn't answer it, since it was during church. For some reason, he just kept calling, so I went out in the hall and answered.
He was calling from New Mexico to inform me that he and Warburton would be in L.A. in the wee hours of the morning. They got sick of Laramie, so they decided to head south to warmer pastures. When they got to Albuquerque, they decided they wanted to go to the ocean. So they're on their way!
They tried to get Shak to come too, but as usual, Shak declined.
I'll let you know how the weekend went - they'll be here all day tomorrow (Monday) and they might spend the night too. We'll definitely hit up the beach, and we may go hiking in the Hills of Beverly, and I'm sure we'll go to Hollywood too. We'll see....
I've got a pretty huge interview this Tuesday with the president of Don Buchwald & Associates, a talent agency. I made it through the screening process, then interviewed with the agent I'd be assisting, and he wants me to meet the president of the company now. If it works out, I'll be an assistant to one of the big agents in town, which means I'll be learning a ton about the industry, meeting a lot of key players, and laying a foundation from which we'll build our own company in the near future (to produce such films as Pablo Mariachi and 'Tis Himself). It's a pretty common route a lot of writers and producers take. It'll be a tough two years, but it will be worth it.
Wish me luck!
Douglas
PS see you in March! Depending on whether or not I get this job, I might have to wait until that weekend to see you. Hopefully, I can be at the airport, but I just don't know right now.
PPS Love you, bud, and hope all is well in JamRock.
PPPS Here's the link to the company's website, if you're interested.

If you watch the homepage for a while, the faces will switch, and you'll get an idea of some of their clients.
